Did you guys know that their used to be a runway right were the present day new terminal building is now. The image was from 1992.

Yup. That old FX 727 is parked on part of what used to be the old runway. When I was a kid (before I moved to Florida) I used to come to IND and spend a great deal of time on the observation deck on the old terminal. It was great watching jets take off and land on that old runway. They were so close. And of course back then they were much louder than today. I also remember when seeing 7 or 8 planes at the airport made it feel busy.
