I recently read an online new article stating that IND is ranked as the 6th most export friendly airport in the nation. Hopefully this could mean good things for the future. With Cargolux having added an additional flight, maybe other cargo carriers may be inclined to look into IND. Rumor has it that UPS is looking into flying in here.

Hey fit2fly what other cargo airlines do you think would be interested into doing service to IND?

I've heard that UPS is one of them. Possibly Polar Air Cargo and/or DHL too.

Yes, their hub is in Louisville. They already serve Ft. Wayne and South Bend. Service to/from IND would help them supplement the ground service, compete with FedEx and clean up any service backlogs. Keep in mind that just because their main hub is in SDF, it doesn't necessarily mean that it would be the sole destination out of IND. UPS also has hubs in Philadelphia, Ontario California, Columbia, SC and Miami. The use of those hubs would help them dramatically improve their service standards out of here.
