Major blow to Airbus, but I'd rather see FX operate the 777F instead anyway. The only drawback being we won't see the A380 in IND on a regular basis now, but oh well. Also I'm surprised that they didn't pick up some 747-8F's either.

Ouch. Didn't they build some extremely expensive facility for the A380 down in MEM?

I think a lot of airports have invested a lot of money in upgrades to handle the A380.

I think Airbus hit a home run with the A330. But I think they have choked seriously with the A380. I think it was a bad idea. Will the A380 be the new Spruce Goose? Boeing will benefit from this huge Airbus blunder. BTW has anyone ever flown on a 767 long range? I was on one from ATL to FRA a few years back. That is a very comfortable long haul experience.

My only 767 experience is CIN-SLC. It was pretty enjoyable, good movie, bad food, not really long range though.

Let's see...I've flown on a 767 from IAH to GRU (Sao Paulo). I've flown on one from ATL to HNL. Also from CAN (Guangzhou, China) to PEK (Beijing). I think I flew on one from EWR to CDG (Paris) or maybe it was from Paris back to EWR. It's comfortable, but not as nice as the 777. Very Happy
