The flight to LAX from Indianapolis on AirTran resumes May 27th, 2010. It will be flight 302 with a 940pm departure from IND.

So come first of June 2010 the flights on FL out of IND will look like this.

ATL - 4x
BWI - 2x
FLL - 1x
LAX - 1x
LGA - 2x
MCO - 4x
MKE - 3x (Edit: Going from 1x to 3x regional service)
RSW - 3x
SRQ - 1x
TPA - 2x

Total of 23 daily departures. (Edit: Changed from 21 to 23)

MCO and RSW have one additional flight each on the weekend bringing the weekend daily departures to 25 (Edit: Changed from 23 to 25) which is the biggest AirTran has ever been here.

The LAS flight is only operated as seasonal. Oh and btw there is a flight count change. MKE is being changed from one mainline to three regional flights a day. I think AirTran is making a huge mistake by introducing regional plane service to their network.

I agree. I heard a rumor that the regional jets will be flown by former Midwest Express pilots. Shocked

Quite likely since the service will be operated by SkyWest and I think they flew regional service for Midwest.

Nope. AirTran has pretty much gutted their IND ops. Honestly that is fine by me. Their scheduling department was far too unpredictable. You couldn't count on anything with them. One moment a route is here then it is gone. Then it is back as seasonal. Then the flight times change. If you don't have enough jets don't start the routes. Quit trying to play big airlines with numerous new service announcements by playing the seasonal game with non seasonal routes.
