Assuming the information I was given was correct this route will be ending. IND-LAS will be ending April 16th, 2010. It still shows bookable beyond April on Delta.com but I was told the drop just hasn't been loaded yet. That is a shame if this proves true. That will leave IND-LAS with just 3 daily departures with Southwest.

Remember back in the 1990's when three airlines used to fly the route? Remember when America West had 2x daily to LAS on the 757 and ATA had the wide variety of jets including the L1011 on the route? Plus the Southwest flights. At one point Northwest offered twice daily service to LAS.

So who steps in to fill the void? AirTran? Maybe one of the Republic airlines?

I'll start my own airline and fly the route :p. Someone has to consistently compete with WN. I really hope DL doesn't hack up anymore service.

Anyway, may first guess would be FL picks it up. I don't see Republic doing it.

I bet someone will pick up that route. It's too popular. I understand that AirTran is resuming LAS service in May or March. Maybe AA will pick it up. They're about due for new service in here after they eliminated the mainline service from here to ORD.

Eh... I highly don't AA. They would rather fly you to ORD first.

I think it is most likely that WN or FL would add another frequency before a new carrier jumps in the mix.
