I guess this really isn't much of a shock. US is ending IND-BOS service. Last flight is on October 30th. I wonder how long it takes for AirTran to pick up this route? I think people will welcome mainline service with nice features such as wifi. I would think this would greatly appeal to business travelers.

Does anyone think additional US service will vanish? Perhaps DCA? Is that the one they got in the trade from DL? I could see us being left with only CLT, PHL and PHX service.

Yes, US got DCA slots from DL. It is my understanding that DL has yet to ax their DCA route. I don't think US will cut the DCA route, but I'd guess Delta will soon.

I'll second that FL picks up BOS shortly.
