I don't know if the reason for the decline was the economy, fuel prices or what but March 2008 passenger statistics for the Indianapolis International Airport were disappointing. March 08 passenger numbers were down over March 07. Also the numbers fell far short of the airport authority forecast. Nearly 20,000 fewer passengers were handled than originally forecast. When comparing March 08 to 07 the total passengers were down 1.6%.

Through the end of March 1,933,500 passengers have been handled.
