I hope they aren't putting so much retail in the concourses that they don't seem much wider than the old ones.

I think the new concourses will be a lot wider and will feel very open and spacious. The closest thing I can compare it to is the renovated/expanded terminal at RIC - very similar size and layout. And that terminal is very nice, open, spacious, roomy, bright. Our new terminal also looks like it's about the size of the C terminal at CLE - the CO Express terminal. The exception is that CLE C has retail/restrooms on little "islands" in the middle of the terminal and gates/seating all around the outside. But for openness/brightness and overall concourse width, it looks like a close comparison.

I think the plan is to train the airline agents on the one jetbridge installed....that way, they will be ready to go on day 1.

The new bridges will have heat and a/c!

The other pictures there are of the ticket counters and the A concourse. You can see the moving walkways covered with a black tarp. It is going to be one heck of a place (for passengers). Very Happy

I feel the same way that ATAIndy does., why couldn't the jetways have glass? And what is up with that carpet? Ughhh!

Where are there domestic US airports with windowed jetways? I can't think of any off the top of my head.

The only ones I can think of that I've recently seen are at AMS. And those are really the jetways, but they're really more like fixed pedestrian bridges that connect the jetways to the terminal. And the windows are more like portholes in a ship.

I was thinking AMS as well. Especially those over the wing ones. But AMS is a unique creature in so many ways.

All those new fancy Asian airports have glass jetways... but then again they aren't U.S. domestic airports. lol

Why do my favorite airlines end up going defunct??

If I ever become a billionaire I'll donate the satellite terminal to the City of Indianapolis. I'll make sure it has the glass jetways. Smile

BTW yes I would actually do that.

I've been to both HKG and SIN - the new fancy terminals Chep Lap Kok and Changi. I don't recall glass jetways. But maybe BKK or the new PEK terminal have them?

I know I've seen them on a.net, the problem is I don't have time to go find which ones they are right now. I'm a busy guy these days... hence my extended absence lol
