I recently discovered an Indy band that's got some real buzz in the music business. They're called Margot and the Nuclear So & So's. Really unusual band - 8 members, with instruments including a cello and a trumpet, with 2 percussionists. I think they've got a really unique sound and an amazing talent for blending styles and sounds. Check them out on iTunes, especially the track "Quiet As a Mouse." Who knows - if they hit if big, maybe this is the start of Indy becoming the next Austin?

Actually, no. There's a lot of old school rap that I dig. Classic NWA and Ice Cube among my favorites. But then, I also like the Dixie Chicks, Billie Holliday, and Sigur Ros. My musical tastes are what you would call broad and eclectic.

Really, that surprises me. If you like Dixie Chicks and Ice Cube, then I can certainly tell you have a very broad range of music taste. Do you like any of the alternative rock or heavy rock like Audioslave? I gotta say thats my favorite right now.

I liked Chris Cornell better in Soundgarden. I also like Rage better as a group unto themselves. Audioslave is cool, but they just sound like Soundgarden and Rage jamming together. I keep expecting Zach de la Rocha to pop up on some track with a high-pitched "Uhh. Come on!"
