Any word on when they will be announcing gate assignments? How much longer can they wait and still give the airlines enough time to be ready?

I suspect the airlines know how many and where. The only ones that don't know right now would be us Smile

Does anyone know what the odds are of them expanding the new terminal in the future? I know I'm jumping the gun a bit, but I've read that the new terminal is expandable to 100 gates.

The current terminal can be expanded to 60. Then a satellite terminal with an additional 40. But I THINK the satellite terminal is expandable to 60. I've only heard 40 mentioned but what I saw was a terminal shaped like the alternate design for the current terminal. That being an X shaped detached concourse with 40 gates that was expandable to 60. The satellite terminal was the same shape. There might be space issues that prevent them from expanding the 2nd terminal to 60 gates. But in any case 100 is a significant amount. That is decades away. Expanding to 60 gates for the main terminal was listed as the 2020 level.

Decades is correct. Let's just enjoy the 40 gates of the new terminal for now. It will be a long LONG time before anything gets expanded.

Actually he might. He does have a connection. I know this for a fact. And his connection is in a position to know this information. It is quite possible that he knows now. And I do know that some gate information has been released as I have been given come information in private already.

Then I take back my call of bullshit. Very Happy But it's pretty snarky to tease everyone like that.
