Cargolux has added a second IND flight: Star Article
Hendricks County Flyer Article

An interesting note in the Flyer article; "Indianapolis Airport Authority spokesman David Dawson said the additional flight is not exactly a surprise, but rather more of a step in the right direction."

Not a surprise? I find that interesting.

Also, if isn't too hard, maybe a forum should be made for Cargolux. After all, it is a carrier at IND.

Why do my favorite airlines end up going defunct??

Good news. The first Cargolux flight was a feather in IND's cap. The fact that they're expanding service is an affirmation that IND is a good place to do air cargo business.

The other North American cities/airports Cargolux flies to: YYC (Calgary), ORD, DFW, BDL (Hartford), IAH, HSW (Huntsville), LAX, MEX (Mexico City), JFK, SFO, SEA, and YVR (Vancouver). Pretty good company, IMHO.

By the way, could the Star article be more underwhelming? It's barely even a mention at all. At least the Hendricks County writer was willing to get some background off the internet and make a call to the airport board. Shame, shame Indy Star. The airport is a giant economic engine for this city, and they should be all over this kind of news.

And I second the motion for a Cargolux forum.

Why would Cargolux fly to Huntsville, AL? Is there some sort of company there that requires service to Europe?

Yeah, I actually found out about the flight from the Hendricks County Flyer. I then went to the star to see if they had written up a litte more than the flyer ( since thats how it usually goes), only to see the star article be one paragraph. That's sad.

Yeah, Huntsville kind of stands out, huh? That Sesame Street song was going through my head: "one of these things just doesn't belong here..."

I can't seem to find the info on where Cargolux flies from to Huntsville. But today they did have an Atlas Air 747 arrive at HSV from Luxembourg. I would imagine it's probably stuff related to the foreign automakers in Alabama - I think there's a Mercedes plant there, no?
