Hi all,

Sorry I've not been active the past couple days, I've had a lot of crap to deal with...I have been reading and keeping up with everything though.

I was just curious to see if the Indy area has fog as bad as we do right now? Currently it's 0820 Local, and visibitly is at 1/4 mile according to the LAF METAR.

Be careful outside if it's foggy down there!

Yup, it has been this way allllllllll day long. I thought it would clear up late morning, but boy was I wrong.

Why do my favorite airlines end up going defunct??

Lucky Gary....lol

Although it was technically not closed yesterday, LAF had ZERO traffic yesterday. The visibility sucks again today, but there have been two IFR arrivals this morning, a CL-600 jet and a Beech Bonanza. You wouldn't catch me taking up a single engine prop in this weather. I know the sky is beautiful probably a hundred feet up or so, but the approach in that thing would not be fun.

And now the kicker...I got my scanner out and checked the ATIS the past two days...LAF only has ILS for rwy 10 and it's been down yesterday and today! The only approach available at the field is the GPS rwy 10. Pretty wild.

Just got back from LAF, the ILS 10 is operational again, and there has been a King Air 350 come and gone as well as a Lear 45 arrived. Visibility is still crap, I watched the King Air take off, and he disappeared about 4-5 seconds after leaving the ground.
