Northwest has purchased the FAA operating certificates from FlyI. This is obviously part of the famous Newco package. How will Newco impact IND? Will the DC9's operating out of IND be replaced with Newco flights? Or will we get other maineline equipment perhaps from MEM as they get Newco flights? What I had heard is that MEM will stop being a NW base. I think they become a Newco base. Perhaps the NW schedule out of IND increases as we pick up mainline flights as Newco builds up elsewhere. I don't think Newco will have a big presense here. But I could be wrong.

Here is the Indy Star report on the certificate sale.
