I like the design, but I think it borrows too much from what's been done before elsewhere. There are a lot of airports with that swept-wing, waveform roof design. Dulles started it all, and it's been copied in the new international terminal at SFO, the new airport at Hong Kong, Kansai airport in Japan, and even on a small scale at airports like Curitiba, Brazil and elsewhere. I was hoping for something just a bit more unique and different that would make an architectural statement - not that this won't, but something even more radical and new.
Case in point being the new Denver airport when it opened. The multi-peaked roof design made of high-tech fabric that modeled the Rocky Mountain peaks. That was truly unique and interesting.
But for our little town, this design is pretty cool.

With all the glass/fiberglass, I'd hate to be caught in that building in severe weather... though I'm sure that factor has been taken into account during the design phase. I do like the open air feeling that the civic center will provide. Kind of a change of pace from the near-claustraphobic feeling the current terminal building conveys. Too bad the big 'picture window' overlooking the airfield is beyond the security checkpoints. It would be a great place to watch planes come and go...
