INDIANAPOLIS - The Indianapolis Airport Authority Monday kicked off a major phase of construction for the New Indianapolis Airport passenger terminal building by issuing five key bid packages with a combined value of approximately $65-$70 million.The packages to be bid will result in contracts for terminal excavation and foundation work, structural steel, building concrete and passenger conveyance machinery. The bid packages are expected to draw bids from a large number of central Indiana contractors. The Airport Authority is expected to announce the winning bidders in June and July.
