Independence Air is dropping out, Northwest is reducing routes, ATA dropped Cancun and Los Angeles, and yet the Indianapolis Airport Authority says numbers are up up up and up.

And yes, I know that numbers don't always equal yields which don't always amass to profit, but with traffic up THIS significantly, you'd think there'd be a slight reversal of fortune here.

While those have cut back AirTran is increasing service. DL also added SLC service and Frontier has applied for CUN service. There is still the big question of what will US/HP do.

yes, but still, no additions are nothing like the reductions that have been seen as of lately.

I guess after the stunt TZ pulled early in 2005 im not too phased by a few reductions. Going back to mid april there was really little change when you look at what NW is cutting back and compare it to FL moving in and expanding to nearly a dozen flights by November. The next 12 months are going to be really interesting.

How will the HP/US merger effect IND traffic?
Will NW cut back even more flights?
Will FL hold steady or add more flights?
Will JetBlue move in?
Will TZ move out?
Will the Colts win the SB? Smile
