If you look on the airports website theres a powerpoint slide show on what the airport intends on doing with the land between now and 2040. I encourage you to check this out it really is really interesting.

They said by 2040 that are passengers are supposed to be around 14.7 million and aircraft movements are going to be around 220,000 movements.

At the rate things are going.... or not growing... we won't reach 14.7 million. There has been basically zero growth over the last decade. Yeah we did see a nice jump at one point but we've lost all the growth. We are no better off today than we were in 2000. We may be lucky to hit 10.0 million by 2040.

With competition from surrounding airports, IND needs something to bring people in. IND needs JetBlue. A JetBlue focus city will bring in people from all over. That is the kind of shot in the arm this city and airport really needs.

They also said by 2040 that are cargo should by 2.2 percent by then to about 2.2 million lbs does this sound reasonable to you.
