It looks like Southwest may be ending its nonstop service to LAX on Feb 10th. This leaves service looking like this...

MCO - 1000 passengers and 6 nonstop.
LAX - 793 passengers and 1 nonstop.
LAS - 1000 passengers and 3 nonstop.
SFO - 461 passengers and 0 nonstop.
SAN - 289 passengers and 0 nonstop.
SEA - 359 passengers and 0 nonstop.

I mention MCO because this is how a well served destination compares to others that appear underserved from IND. MCO might be overserved. Perhaps NW is going to return to hub only flying in which case MCO would drop to 4 nonstop flights. That would also mean 0 for LAX and 2 for LAS. Is AirTran going to expand more? If they were looking to meet the needs of travelers wanting nonstop service they could easily add 2x to LAX and LAS and 2x to SFO. That would give them better westcoast coverage and fill in the gaps at IND.
