Actually not all that surprising. DL has had some success running RJs out of smaller airports - Waterloo, Iowa and Huntington, WV come to mind. And they have the little 40-seat CR4's that are pretty cheap to operate. True, the proximity to IND makes it iffy, but for a small schedule, it could work for them.
