I have a question about the Indianapolis Business Journal. I have been kicking around the idea of subscribing to it for a long time. In your opinion is it worth the money? When I subscribe to the newspaper I never read it. Is the IBJ loaded with good reading material?

If you're interested in business news from the Indy metro area, it's the best ever. Lots of articles on the happenings at local companies, lots of economic development coverage, and really good op-ed, too. Morton Marcus writes an op-ed column which is usually very entertaining (and can be filed in the category of Things That Make You Go, "Hmm.")

This week's issue has the A380 article on the front, along with a piece on the rising prices for commercial office space in the area, and a below-the-fold blurb about some money the Colts are getting from the NFL that will go towards their portion of the new stadium's cost.

If you're still unsure of whether you want to subscribe for $79 a year, at least sign up for the IBJ daily emails. This will give you a good idea of the types of local business coverage they provide, although you will miss out greatly on the in-depth pieces and focus stories in the weekly edition.

And hey, everybody who's anybody in the local business community reads IBJ! Smile
