I'm curious. What's the longest nonstop commercial flight from IND?

I'm guessing the service to LAX. Though SEA might be pretty close as well. TZ does some kind of service to Shannon Ireland. But I have no idea if that is troop transportation or something from the travel club.

Closer than you might think, only 1287 miles.
The west coast flights are the longest from IND. 1814 to LAX, 1866 to SEA, and 1943 to SFO.

If Northwest wanted to, they can use a DC-10 from IND to AMS...if ATA was able to park an L1011 at the C gates, then they can park a DC-10 there Although i know that the issue is too much capacity for that route on a DC-10. That is why they should have one-stop from IND to AMS via BDL.

There are two widebody gates at the C concourse. C10 and I think C6 or C7. I know NW parked a 747 at the A concourse before but I don't know how it effected the gates around it.

the 747 shut down two or three gates around it. It was parked at A5, leaving A7 and A3 closed. A1 was used for the RJs that day. It also closed A8 upon pushback.
The NW DC-10s will cease to exsist in a less than three months - BUT, still may end up in IND with another carrier!
