I read in the IBJ that quite a few firms have shown interest in the site of the old passenger terminal. The airport spokesperson has declined to say who these firms are or what their potential plans for the terminal are but many speculate that it will be used for a freight hub or other industrial use.

I hope it is aviation related instead of wasting valuable space on something that could have been place anywhere else around the city.

I agree. A freight hub would be ideal. There was even talk of some sort of intermodal hub since the land is on airport property in the midst of the air freight companies and also right off of the interstate.
