Myrtle Beach wants to offer subsidies for service from MYR to IND if it operates at least 5 times a week.

Who would take the bait? F9 with E145 service? DL with the CRJ-200? Somebody else? I have my doubts about this route especially as a year round service. I could maybe see it as seasonal. Right now faremeasure.com is showing that less than 30 people a day fly that route. Certainly a nonstop service could stimulate demand but enough to justify this?

If F9 offers the route they could fly the jet MYR-IND-MKE and MKE-IND-MYR. It would also mean they could offer a connection in IND to DEN and Saturday connections to CUN. Maybe that is enough to justify the route. DL could do a CRJ-200 and then fill the remaining empty seats with connections to LAX, MSP and SLC heading west.

Since Frontier doesn't fly there they seem unlikely. Given the fact that airlines like AA, CO/UA, and US never add routes out of IND the likely candidate for this service would be Delta.

They may have had it back in the day when US had a hub here. Other than that I don't think we've ever had it.
