Here are comments made by Northwest Airlines about the new midfield terminal. These comments were in a recent NY Times article on the new terminal.
Erin Heitkamp, regional director of airport affairs for Northwest Airlines, the airportâ??s largest carrier, described the terminal as â??an absolutely gorgeous facilityâ? that will â??significantly enhance the passenger experience.â?
It was also added that
Northwest has no immediate plans to expand its level of service in Indianapolis beyond its current 47 daily flights to 21 cities.
Put absolutely no faith in that last comment. A couple of years ago I was told by Kurt Ebenhoch (Director of Media Relations) of Northwest Airlines that they had no immediate plans to expand. New expansion was announced only a few days later.

I'm sure they want to keep it "hush, hush" IF they plan on doing anything anyway...
