It looks like the steel work at the new terminal has indeed started. In a somewhat unrelated article by the Indy Star they included a consturction photo at IND which shows a large steel support beam being placed.

I can confirm that. Flew out Wednesday this week and back late Thurs night. Saw the steelwork starting on Wed afternoon.
Can I get a peanut crumb with that thimble of Coke?Indy

Steel work wasn't supposed to start until summer. So thats good news that it is starting some 3 months early. I wonder if it is a product of a mild winter? Could you tell if the new tower was online yet?

Didn't pay too much attention to the tower. My next trip is probably to MSP next Sunday, so I'll check it out then.
