With the Memorial Day holiday upon us the Midfield Terminal project moves along at a blistering pace. The terminal's steel frame now towers above the horizon. Barring unforeseen delays, most if not all the framing should be completed this year. In April of this year the new control tower and air traffic control center went online. This marked the second part of the project (I-70 relocation completed previously) to be completed.

Nice pics. It seems they have gotten a good start to the framework.

Why do my favorite airlines end up going defunct??

I was thrilled to see that progress. With the way the airport looked today they really need to get it done as fast as possible. The airport was extremely busy and it wasn't even the busiest day of the year.
