I'm one of those people who go out of my way to patronize locally owned restaurants and avoid the national chains. But Sullivan's is one of my favorites, even though it is part of a big national company that includes Longhorn Steakhouse. Still, for the money, I think it's the best steakhouse in town. Yes, better than St. Elmo's.

I had dinner there this past Saturday night. They had a special appetizer on the menu - tempura lobster tails. They were four small lobster tails pulled most of the way out of the shell but still attached. The lobster meat was battered and then deep fried, and it was served with a sweet and spicy Wasabi ginger sesame sauce. Man, it was good. And so was my steak.

Highly recommended for all occasions.

Can I get a peanut crumb with that thimble of Coke?
